Massimo Montanari

Origins, roots, identity: a conversation over a dish of pasta

may sun 30, 2010 - 10.00 a.m.
piazza dello Spirito Santo
 admission euro 3.00

Among the leading experts in the history of nutrition, Professor Montanari takes an unusual, culinarysociological approach to the hotly debated issue of cultural identities and their definitions. A dish of pasta - a metaphor of the culinary universe in which our daily life takes place - will be the starting point for this talk in which Montanari will address food as culture, as the product of our identity as well as a conduit to express it and communicate it.
